(Lansing, MI) -- Michigan's unemployment rate is down a little bit. The state said the jobless rate in January was 14-point-three-percent, dropping two-tenths of a percent from December. The Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth reported total employment was up by eleven-thousand while unemployment fell by seven-thousand. January's jobless rate is higher by three-percent compared to a year ago.
